Anxiety-ridden New York investment banker, Cara Collins, has little to smile about on her twenty-seventh birthday between a hostile work environment and her impossible romantic situation with her longtime friend and first love, Dr. Kai Solomon. But before the day ends, she learns she has inherited $50 million—a windfall that must remain secret or risk the lives of those close to her.
As Cara unravels the truth surrounding her inheritance, she makes a startling discovery: angels walk among the living, and they’re getting ready to engage in a battle that will determine the future of the human race. In the midst of these revelations, she meets mysterious and sophisticated Simon Young, who offers her the promise of romance for the first time since Kai—but when Kai and his daughter are kidnapped by dark forces, Cara must choose: accept her place in a 2,000-year-old prophecy foretold in the Trinity Stones as the First of the Twelve who will lead the final battle between good and evil . . . or risk losing everything she holds dear.

Trinity Stones definitely is a mysterious and intriguing read. It basically was a book about good versus evil and who would win in the end. The novel has a lot of biblical references- it is basically a book about angels, so I mean it’s not surprising. It doesn’t cause anyone who is religious to get their back up over the references though, which I thought was really good. You also don’t have to be a religious nut in order to read this book.
The characters in this story were really fun to get to know. You have Cara Collins who just seems to have given up on anything- she doesn’t really seem to care about her job as an investment banker, and she has almost no interest in a love life. Juxtapose Cara with her best friend Sienna, and you are a really fun relationship! Sienna is the girl who seems to have it all figured out and who LOVES flirting with any guy who passes her. I really loved watching these two in action. Other characters included Michael and Simon. My favourite interactions were those of Sienna + Michael and Cara + Simon.
The plot had some interesting twists and turns throughout. I really enjoyed watching Cara learn what she was and learning about how to use her powers. It was interesting to see who else played a role in the overall picture and how they were introduced to the ideas. The entire story moved really quickly and there was never a dull moment.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and thought it was a really fun read. I had a few issues with parts of the relationships, but overall enjoyed the book. It will be interesting to see where the story goes from here. I am definitely looking forward to the next book!
