Challenges I hope to participate in this year:
Last year I managed to meet my Goodreads goal of 50 books (in fact I managed to read 61 books!). This year I decided to keep my goal at 50 books since I have a job this year and have a feeling I won’t be able to read as much as I did last year.
I have a number of series I hope to finish this year (and some I hope to start and finish). I didn’t manage to finish a lot of the series I had on my challenge list from last year, so it will be pretty much the same (hopefully I’m better at updating it this year!)
Last year I joined the Classics Club in order to read more classics. I did read classics, I was just absolutely terrible at writing reviews on them and updating my TBR list. Hopefully this year will be different. Here my TBR that I posted last year. As I stated in that post, I have until December 21, 2018 to finish my 50 classics. Wish me luck 🙂
I really enjoyed participating in the Chunkster Challenge last year and am participating again this year. Last year I managed to reach my goal (although I didn’t update my page with my last book- BAD BOOKLOVINGHIPPO!). I am setting my goal this year to 7 chunksters.
My Chunkster TBR:
Golem and the Jinni, by Helene Wrecker
Little Women, by Louisa M. Alcott
North and South, by Elizabeth Gaskell
Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon
Goldfinch, by Donna Tart
Middlemarch by George Eliot
Anna Karenina, by Leo Tolstoy
My mom used to be an avid reader, in fact she is the one who got me hooked on books (Thanks mom!), but recently I’ve noticed she hasn’t been reading as much. The other day I was hoping to get her back into reading and so I challenged her to a reading challenge- who can read the most pages in 2015. I initially suggested who can read the most books, but she claimed that I would read books that were 200 pages and she would read books that were 500, so we agreed we would do a page count instead of a book count.
My current page count: 336
